Meet Our Staff

Dena Barton, H.I.S.

Dena Barton has been working with hearing loss patients since 2013. She completed her Audiologist Assistant Program through Nova Southeastern University, then went on to complete the Greenhouse Training Program through Starkey Hearing Technologies. Dena is a licensed hearing aid professional with the State of Michigan. She provides quality hearing health care for all her patients. “It may be just one individual who has a hearing loss, however that can turn into a hearing problem for all those around them. Addressing any hearing difficulties that you may have is an important step towards improving the lives of those around you, and more importantly, in improving your own life.”

My grandmother recently had an appointment at AudioNova and we had an absolutely wonderful experience. Dena Barton was amazing—she was kind, patient, and extremely knowledgeable. She took the time to explain everything clearly and made sure my grandparents felt comfortable and confident throughout the entire visit. Deana is wonderful. She really cares about her customers. Very knowledgeable, friendly, helpful to all your needs. I have been going to her for my hearing aids for several years, no matter where she was located, right now I travel 70 miles for appointments to see her. The staff is great too.

They instrument specialist Dena was extremely rude from the time we walked in the door. She was rushing my elderly mother threw her exam and afterwards when explaining her results kept restating how my mom can't hear in one ear and it would never come back which scared her. It was the approach and dismissive behavior. She heard the door open in the front and basically dismissed us again to go greet the next client very pleasantly. When she came back to the room she began to tell us how much the hearing aides may be without insurance like we didn't have any which felt like an insult. But at the end before we left she then said she was not a dr and if we go to one now it wouldn't be anything they could do for my mother which mafe no sense if she wasn't a dr. We will not be back. Only gave one star because it wouldn't let me post without it

This office of HearMichigan is tucked into a strip mall on 29th st. My visit was quick since I did not have any issues. I was taken aback by the steep co-pay since I had not had any co-pays in a previous office. The staff seemed well trained and cordial.
