Jill Gentile, H.I.S., is a dedicated Hearing Instrument Specialist based in Florida. She completed her studies at the International Institute for Hearing Instruments and is a proud member of the International Hearing Aid Society. With expertise in hearing technology, device fitting, testing, and programming, Jill is committed to helping her patients reconnect with the sounds of life. She also provides counseling and support to patients and their families, addressing the psychological and social impacts of untreated hearing loss. When should I use hearing protection?
You should always use hearing protection when engaging in high-noise recreational activities or work. These activities may include hunting, music concerts, motor sports, and/or construction. Noise-induced hearing loss can result from prolonged exposure to noise or a single, extremely loud event. The louder the sound, the quicker it can cause damage. If you notice ringing in your ears or temporary hearing loss after a loud noise exposure, the environment was too noisy and could be harmful. If that ringing or temporary hearing loss is persistent, it would be a good idea to contact us for a hearing evaluation.
Should I get my hearing tested?
If you suspect that you or a loved one may be experiencing hearing loss, it’s recommended that you seek help sooner rather than later. Hearing loss tends to develop gradually and is often noticeable to close friends and family well before the affected individual realizes it. Identifying and treating hearing loss promptly is crucial. So not at all happy with them! I went back in March to get a pair of hearing aids. Was informed by Scott, who is no longer there that my insurance would not pay.. But, come to find out they will pay 58%. But of course I was screwed out of my reimbursement from them!!!!! First they said: they declined to complete the sale reversal as they confirmed you agreed to proceed privately with a 45-day trial period. They explained they are unable to reverse any sales past this timeframe; their system does not allow them to process any refunds past the 45 days. We spoke with Sam at AudioNova, and she explained that they are unable to assist us with reversing the sale to process as an in-network purchase. IF I WOULD HAVE KNOW NOW I WOULD HAVE GONE TO COSTCO AND GOTTENT BASICLY THE SAME HEARING AIDS FOR HALF OF WHAT I PAID FROM THEM. My suggestion is if you have insurance make sure you tell them as they don't know what they are talking about.

This was my first visit and, I was very impressed especially with Jill. She conducted the exam with professionalism and clearly explained the results. Since this was more a fact finding visit, no commitment for purchase was accomplished however, Jill did explain what was available that could possibly correct my hearing concerns. I will review the material that was given to me and will make a decision as to what I want to do.

I had to cancel two scheduled appointments last fall for my mother when she became hospitalized Audionova was the only hearing evaluation company I actually scheduled an appointment with from all the others I called because no others actually answered the phone and because receptionist/scheduler Brittany was so informative, so professional, was so capable to think presently in accommodating my Mother's personal challenges After prolonged illnesses requiring several hospitalizations, rehabs and insurance changes, Mom was finally able to attend an appointment on 7.3.25 Jill, hearing specialist was Superwoman in her gentile, patient and kind intuitive accommodations for my Mom, now wheelchair dependant including her sensitivity to place glove boxes under her feet to stabilize her positioning in my absentmindedness to have left behind her footrests until I returned with them She intently listened as I explained Mom's personal challenges in determining which fit would be ultimate in hearing devices Brittany was also a Superwoman in her professional accomodations of Mom in scheduling and vetting insurance coverage to ensure there were absolutely no glitches hidden These Two are infact the "Dynamic Duo" and we anticipate a better life forward once Mom is fitted with her custom ordered hearing devices in a couple of weeks!!!

I have been a client for over 10 years now. I recently had issues with my sea shells. I scheduled an appointment as usual. I explained that the speaker was going in and out. At times working normal and at time not at all. I was handed a magnet that says when you should recommend cochlear implants for your client. I once again explained that they were not working properly. For context I bought brand new sea shells for $75 a piece 5-6 months ago. Scott decides to perform a repair on them without having a discussion if I wanted to repair or to order new ones, as a repair cost $65 per, and I was charged 75 apiece originally for new ones. The visit cost me $180 for two repairs and an office visit. As the repair did not work properly because he put in a speaker that did not work for me and my needs. I decided to order a new one Thinking that a $10 difference to get a brand new one that would work was better than paying $65 for repair that did not work. I ended up having to pay an additional $75 and no credit was given for the $65 repair that was not functioning properly. Because I was told his time was worth it then I was giving an excuse that the normal price for a seashell is $150 even though I paid 75 piece the first time around. It has now been three days from getting the new one put in, and now the one I was charged for a repair on my right side is no longer working. I believe this is a shady way of doing business for a few hundred dollars. I have spent over $10,000 over my time here I’m around the corner from looking into upgrading as I’ve had my current ones for almost 4 years. I had given Scott an opportunity to do what was right and credit the repair cost towards new ones, especially since I didn’t request a repair. Scott said I would not be bullied into doing the right thing. I will not be returning to this location And possibly connect hearing altogether. I’m very disappointed In the way, I was treated. I’ve been in sales for over 20+ years this tactic not the right way to treat people and to conduct business be weary, they will nickel and dime you.

Each state has different rules and services for W.C. My Workers Comp is located in New York not Florida. This was not considered even though I mentioned all equipment of any kind; repairs and services are covered by New York legal settlement. It does not matter what state I live in—New York W.C. trumps any W.C. in any state.

Connect hearing in Clermont, Florida has been my “go to” hearing aid service provider for over 8 years. I recently purchased a new set of hearing aids from them and as always was pleasantly impressed with their service and knowledge of the product. I drove 5 hours from Miami to purchase from them even though there were other much closer locations. The main reason is Scott, their Audiologist. I have known him for several years and he is absolutely superb in his knowledge, attention to detail, and overall service. I have relied on Phonak hearing aids for many years and would highly recommend Connect hearing for anyone in need of superior hearing aids from an excellent service provider.

Anthony was very professional patience and knowledgeable he took his time and clean my hearing aid not only that but also help me to understand and explained in detail regarding how to maintain my hearing aid and gave me instruction print out . which I have never had experience with other past audiologist. He never try to sell or pressure to buy hearing aid but educate me what is new hearing aid available in market . I love this place! The staff is MOST friendly and they're beyond courteous. Concerning my hearing aids ... I CAN FINALLY HEAR! 🙌🏾💕 Sometimes I can hear so well, I want to unplug the fridge. I can literally EVERYTHING! Thank you PHONAK and CONNECT HEARING! Please note: I came to this location while on my Disney vacation as I left behind my charger for my hearing aids. The staff within this office gave me their charging case, told me not to worry about returning the device (as I was still under warranty). They would simply order a new one. I drove almost an hour from our resort. I was so blessed to be able to hear again. Thank you!

Valerie is the best ever. My dad will be 85 in September and has been dealing with terrible hearing aids for years. Valeria took an extra few minutes to make him comfortable and when we walked out of the office my dad could not believe that he could finally hear. In the past few weeks he has turned into a new person, happier, not as angry, and will now speak to other people all thanks to Valerie. We drive 23 miles from Orlando and will never go anywhere else and will recommend Connect Hearing and Valerie to anyone we know.

Ran in for a clean and check before we go on vacation. Had no apt and Valerie still took me right away. She cleaned both of my hearing aids and gave me new batteries. Had issue with hearing aid while on vacation stopped by to have it looked out. They took me right in and had me fixed and out door in less than 15 minutes. even made me a coffee while I waited.
