When should I use hearing protection?
You should always use hearing protection when engaging in high-noise recreational activities or work. These activities may include hunting, music concerts, motor sports, and/or construction. Noise-induced hearing loss can result from prolonged exposure to noise or a single, extremely loud event. The louder the sound, the quicker it can cause damage. If you notice ringing in your ears or temporary hearing loss after a loud noise exposure, the environment was too noisy and could be harmful. If that ringing or temporary hearing loss is persistent, it would be a good idea to contact us for a hearing evaluation.
Should I get my hearing tested?
If you suspect that you or a loved one may be experiencing hearing loss, it’s recommended that you seek help sooner rather than later. My visit was my 1st time ever for addressing the ringing in my ears called tinnitus. I've had this for years, but I always avoided just simply getting a hearing test. Don't delay, it could change your life. I felt Jordan was easy going and genuinely caring. After several tests she tried a tiny comfy set of hearing aids..... "yes indeed hearing aids." Jordan put them into my ears and I literally cried tears of joy because the ringing was not there, and my mind or body no longer tensed. I was in shock., then I realize I'm still hearing my husband and Jordan talking yet I was calm and relaxed, no ringing yet there was soothing ocean waves mixed in but no distractions just conversing normally., but calmly. TINNITUS is REAL and no lie, can cause other mind and just overall issues. My opinion. Based on my experience. True North Hearing, thank you for the service you provide & Jordan.

My hearing has been a problem all my adult life, and I tried hearing aids a decade ago and was not impressed. But now, in my eighties, I depend more and more on caring conversations, so I decided to go get a free hearing test at Springfield Hearing Aid. I knew that the technology has changed a lot recently, and it seemed to me to be worth the cost. I found my reception there was cordial, informative, genial, and trust-inspiring. The analysis of my hearing spectrum was much like what it was ten years ago. After discussion about the features of various models, I decided to spend what it took. Fitting is next week, and I'm looking forward to it. I really appreciated the detailed straight talk rather than a sales pitch.

I have been wondering about my hearing for a couple of years, and when I received a letter offering an exam and a consultation, I knew the time had come to find out just what was going on. I was very impressed with the entire appointment with owner, Jim. I could easily see from my test results that getting hearing aids would be in order. I really, really liked the hearing aid that was suggested and will definitely follow up.
