Karilyn Ryder, Au.D.

Dr. Karilyn Ryder received her Bachelor of Science degree in Speech Pathology and Audiology from Miami University in 2013. She attended the Northeast Ohio AuD Consortium in Akron, OH, where she received her Doctorate in Audiology in 2017. As part of her clinical training, Dr. Ryder worked with a diverse team of audiologists and ear, nose, and throat physicians in Youngstown, OH. She joined the Hearing Health USA team in July 2017. Dr. Ryder developed a passion for the journey to better hearing and focuses her practice on including the patients’ loved ones in hearing aid fittings and rehabilitation. Dr. Ryder lives in Parma with her husband, daughter, and two rescue dogs. She enjoys the 3 C’s in life: cooking, camping, and Cleveland baseball!

The audiologist was not friendly. She was rude. I was sorry I wasted our time there. We will see another audilogist before the end of the month. She said it would take three weeks to get approval from the insurance company for the hearing aides. I contacted the insurance company and they said approval takes about two days. She said she would have to submit 6 pages of information to the insurance company. The insurance company said they would only ask five questions.

Karilyn is always polite helpful, answers any questions, is 'present' at the appointment focusing on the patient and nothing else. When my 91 year old mom was still alive she took time to make sure she understood everything including the (what most people would consider a no brainer) how to put her hearing aids in the case to charge them.

I have tinnitus and have not been very happy with the help from my hearing aids. Went for a free consultation to the Parma office. Karilyn gave me a hearing test and then took my 2 year old hearing aids and adjusted them. What a difference!! And she never pushed getting new hearing aids!!! It really helped with my tinnitus!!! She knows what she's doing and I would highly recommend her.
