Audra Branham, Au.D. & MA, CCC-A

Dr. Branham, MA, CCC-A, received her Doctor of Audiology degree from the Northeast Ohio Au.D. Consortium. There, she received specialized training at the Cleveland Clinic, Akron Children’s Hospital, Cleveland Hearing and Balance Center and the Perry Ear, Nose and Throat Clinic. She is a Fellow of the Academy of Doctors of Audiology, the American Academy of Audiology and the Ohio Academy of Audiology. Dr. Branham has also been Board Certified in Audiology. Dr. Branham worked with Hearing Innovations’ founder, Dr. Eric Hagberg, who co-authored the first hearing aid prescription fitting method. She has a special interest in the use of digital technology to treat difficult-to-fit hearing losses. She also uses the latest innovations in the diagnosis and treatment of hearing and dizziness disorders for both adults and pediatric patients."

Rebecca Donchess, M.A., CCC-A

Rebecca A. Donchess, M.A., CCC-A, has been a licensed Audiologist for more than 25 years. She earned a Bachelor’s degree in Speech and Hearing Sciences from The Ohio State University and a Master’s degree in Audiology from Kent State University. She has a Certificate of Clinical Competence in Audiology (CCC-A) from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association. Her area of interest includes evaluating and treating patients with hearing loss. She is an expert in the selection, fitting, and dispensing of hearing aids and other related devices. She enjoys talking to local groups and organizations about hearing loss and prevention. As a life-long resident of the Mahoning Valley, Rebecca is happy to be serving the community.

I called ahead of time and was told they accept walk-ins. I spoke to a receptionist for over 20 minutes about the issue. When I did go to the office, the receptionist acted as if she owned the place and would not even allow the audiologist to see me without an appointment. She said that everyone has to speak and only me if they want to get in here to me only because I am in charge. She so rude, disrespectful and very unprofessional. Beware of this place? I would NEVER recommend this business to anyone. Apparently, they do not care or give a damn about customers by having a guard at the desk demanding an appointment but yet claim they accept walk ins

We do not dispense or sell hearing aids online but there is a company based out of China that sells amplifiers online with our same name on their booklet. My Mom's wax filter broke off inside her hearing aid the day before a family wedding and without the beautiful people at Hearing Innovations knowing us they got us scheduled today and fixed it so quickly and didn't even charge us. 1st. I called in and spoke with a very polite woman who was incredibly helpful and actually got me an appointment that same day. 2nd. Apon arrival, everything went smooth. The lobby was nice and clean and I didn't have to wait any longer then filling out my paperwork. 3rd Once in the room, within a moment, Dr. Branham was there. She made an awkward situation seem not so bad and when I left, I felt 100% better. Now I don't know about the entire staff at this facility. This was my first visit. However I can say that I will continue to go here and I do recommend Hearing Innovations to anyone who gets a chance to read this. Thank you.

Be advised that you are not told in advance that an appointment will be billable. Neither at the time you make the appointment or on arrival for the appointment are you informed. Evidently you are entitled to 3 followup appointments when purchasing hearing aids. If you lose track of the number of calls then you will be charged. I should have been informed prior to the appointment. Very poor business practice.

John, we apologize that you felt misinformed by our office recently and decided to change your previous 5-star glowing review. At Hearing Innovations, it is our priority to be transparent with our patients, especially when it comes to your insurance plan's contracted details. Certain insurance contracts dictate how and when patients are to be charged, which we must follow to be in network with these discount plans. We understand the process can be confusing, which is why we advise patients prior to scheduling their next appointment where charges will begin to apply and have each patient with this plan initial this line on their contracts ("I acknowledge that my provider is entitled to charge for each follow-up visit not to exceed a per-visit fee up to $65 per visit after I have exhausted the three included follow-up visits."). When we were informed at your appointment about your confusion, we very nicely explained that the charges were for the service provided that day, in line with what every other patient pays for the same service, and followed your signed and initialed insurance contract. We would be happy to supply you with a copy of your contract if it has been misplaced. If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to contact us to make sure we can resolve any issues going forward.

Of course I was nervous walking in the front door, but the waiting-room receptionist was polite, calming and took time to explain what I was signing. Once in a treatment room, I was greeted with a firm hand shake and a warm smile from Dr, Durrant. I could tell fairly quickly Dr. Durrant cared about, not only my audiology, but how treating my audiology fits with my specific lifestyle, which included doing nothing further than establishing a base-line. I would recommend Dr Durrant to anyone who has interest/concerns of knowing more about any audiology issues confronting them.
