Carolyn M. Genna, Au.D., F-AAA

"Dr. Carolyn Genna has over 30 years of experience as a clinical audiologist. Prior to entering private practice in 1996, she directed the audiology service at a well-known multi-specialty medical group in Nassau County. After 21 years as a successful private practitioner, Dr. Genna joined the AudioNova team in 2017. She practices at our Williston Park office. Dr. Genna received her Master’s Degree in Audiology from St. John’s University and her Doctorate in Audiology from A.T Still University. “I am committed to providing the best possible care to my patients. The first step in doing so is by listening to what they have to say.”"

I orinally went in for a free hearing evaluation. I decided since i was due for new ones with my insurance, id get them. The doctor and i went over the pricing for the different levels and what i could afford monyhly with my credit card. She told me it would be 0% interest for 2 years at $79 a month. This would be after the $3000 they would get from my insurance. Went back on Wednesday to pick up them up and the doctor proceeds to tell me I'm sorry i cant hive you the hearing aids for the price i quoted you. We dont give discounts with insurance. The new monthly price would be $149. I told her that was not the price she told me and knew i couldn't afford it. She then tried to sell me the lower technology hearing aids for the price of ones she had me believe i was going to purchase. I should've known when she told me we'll complete the paperwork when you come back. This is what I call switch and bait. Don't trust these people!

My mother in law has become a bit cranky as she has gotten older and fought getting hearing aids. She finally bought a pair at another provider but complained they didnt work and refused to wear them. My wife took her into Empire and they were amazing. They worked with Carlene who took her time and was patient and she walked my MIL through tuning of her devices. By the end my MIL was tearing up because she was so happy. Linda was amazing as she helped navigate the insurance process. All in all fantastic experience, highly recommend this team of experts.
