Kimberly McNicholl, Au.D., CCC-A

Dr. Kimberly McNicholl graduated summa cum laude from Adelphi University Honors College with her Bachelor of Science in Communication Sciences and Disorders. She then went on to receive her Doctor of Audiology degree from the Long Island Au.D. Consortium of Adelphi, Hofstra, and St. John’s Universities. She received two Deans’ Awards in communication sciences and disorders as well as in audiology. Dr. McNicholl is also a published researcher and has presented at several national conferences.

I have nothing but praise both for my amazing hearing aids and the wonderful staff who assisted me. Bridget and Dr. McNicholl are caring, friendly and knowledgeable. These are not my first pair of hearing aids so I can be objective in my praise. Ask about "Roger" who connects to the hearing aids. It is amazing!

Great Experience. Kim and Kim are the best! Went for hearing test and walked out with a brand new pair of hearing aids. Everything went so well that I had my Mother visit with them the next day. Mom was also amazed that she went for hearing test and came out with a brand new pair of hearing aids. Great pricing and great service. You should call them for appointment! Forget Costco :(

I have been wearing hearing aids for just about eight years. I just got a new pair of Phonak hearing aids. Dr Kim McNicholl explained everything so well and helped me troubleshoot problems I was having with new hearing aids. She is very knowledgeable and I would recommend her to anyone just beginning with hearing aids. She explains everything so well and thorough. Kim the receptionist is excellent too, very kind. Dr. McNicholl was absolutely amazing. She helped me get fitted for a pair of custom molded ear plugs for loud music. She was great at explaining exactly what she was doing at each step, and she was professional and friendly through the whole process. Once the new ear plugs arrived from the manufacturer, she personally ensured they fit my ears as intended. I had my first band practice with the new ear plugs yesterday and they were fantastic! Unlike some other ear plugs I tried before, these stayed snug in my ears even when singing and talking, and my ears are not ringing afterwards. Everything sounded clear and I feel like I’m finally hearing my band the right way for the first time. Thank you for all your help with protecting my hearing!

Audiologist based her whole interaction with me after someone else’s testing/findings. She was insulted that I would not allow her to opt my test results from another audiologist. I was told she would do her own test.. she did not, then I was told she was not even credentialed to prescribe the hearing aids… very disappointed and will not return. Reception was very nice.

This was my 6 month visit to see how things are working out. I had an issue when I’m in a noisy environment. Dr McNicholl checked the readings and did some fine tuning with my aids and now it’s all working great. Thank you Dr. McNicholl for the extra time you spent with me. For a octogenarian, today's hearing aides can be complicated. I still have difficulty using my I-phone and was worried that I would not be able to use my hearing aides Blue tooth option. I made an appointment to see my very capable audiologist, Dr. Heffron, at his Smithtown office and was pleasantly surprised. Doctor has always been very knowledgeable and professional during all my visits but this one was special; Blue Tooth would greatly enhance my hearing capability. Dr. Heffron was patient and informative; he went through the maneuvers he had to make and instructed me on the use of the phone. While I am still not proficient with this device, however, I am well on the road since it does not look too difficult now. I thank Dr. Heffron for combining his knowledge & his personality; when combined these two traits were perfect. He was pleasant and, like always, willing to answer all my questions.
