Meet Our Staff

Brenda Cervini, H.I.S.

Brenda Cervini, has been dispensing hearing aids since 2012, and can be found at the Avon office of AudioNova on Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Fridays, and at the Dansville office on Mondays and Wednesdays. Brenda is a National Board-Certified Hearing Instrument Specialist. She tests and evaluates hearing loss and makes appropriate recommendations to help improve hearing and make her patients’ life easier and better. Brenda is familiar with most of the top hearing aid brands available, and can help you find the best hearing aid for your lifestyle. Brenda received a BS Degree from SUNY Brockport, majoring in Business Administration with a minor in Spanish. She studied abroad in Cuernavaca, Morelos, Mexico. She continues to study languages and enjoys traveling, in addition to collecting art, antiques, gardening and music. Brenda’s mother began to develop severe hearing loss and got her first pair of hearing aids when Brenda was only 9 years old. It started with one aid, and then the second. Brenda remembers her mother running around in the back yard listening to birds and laughing when she got her second aid. Because of these experiences, Brenda understands what hearing loss means to a patient and their families. The experiences that are most meaningful to Brenda are those life-changing moments when a patient realizes that they CAN hear. They CAN hear in the restaurant. They CAN understand their grand-daughter's voice. They are no longer isolated at parties and holidays, and they CAN participate. Hearing these stories every day is why Brenda feels that dispensing hearing aids is the best job in the world! If you think you might have a hearing loss, come in and let Brenda test you. This place is horrible Have had these hearing aids for close to a year and not once had an appt for a cleaning!!! When I first got them within the first week one totally fell apart and they sent it to be “fixed” but all they did was glue it together as bad as it was the whole entire thing should have been replaced but they wouldn’t do that, there basically junk and I’ve worn hearing aids for a long time and these are by far the worst ever!! When I try to get in touch with these people it now goes to someplace in Rochester and they take messages to have the Dansville/Avon location contact you…such a joke I’ve even tried texting the lady at the number she texted me on in the beginning and get absolutely no replies back I agree with the one comment that stated Stay Away And for them to tell people you have to pay them up front and get reimbursed from the insurance because insurance don’t pay them is a crock also I know for a fact because I called my insurance company and asked if they cover my hearing aids and they said yes i absolutely have that coverage in full but yet this place told me I didn’t LIES I have an appt at a different business to get different hearing aids and then these will be sent back to the manufacturer as junk !!!

I'd been having problems with my new hearing aids and charger. The doctor I had been working with left the practice. A new one had me bring them to the office to be sent out for repair. They were returned in pieces. I had no Idea how to put them together. Called the office. No doctor available until the following week! Leslie, the office manager, told us to come down - she would fix it. It meant a 30 minute drive to do this but she was wonderful and most helpful. I give her 5 stars, the practice itself not as much.

Carrie Morabito is a very thorough audiologist and very knowledgeable as well. I highly recommend Carrie Morabito, the audiologist at this clinic. She is truly exceptional. With her guidance, i now have my third set of hearing aids and , for the first time, I enjoy wearing them all day, every day, without fear of loosing them. I have lost hearing aids in the past, but these are constructed so they do not fall out. I need to remove them. Periodically, Carrie throughly cleans the hearing aids and replaces the tubes to increase their effectiveness. She also willingly makes adjustments when needed to improve the quality of my hearing.

App't was at 4:30, was told would be about 30 mins. I had a friend meet me there at 5. Didn't get out until 5:35.. After the hearing test I met w/another person, (it was 5:00pm; which is their office closing time) as soon as I sat down he went to his comp and said, Lets get your hearing aids - I was like wait a minute, don't we have to discuss whether I even want them? He then coincidentally/conveniently had to change both batteries in his hearing aids (I wonder if he did this in front of every client and even if he actually needed them) He mentioned how great my ins was, but I would have to pay up front and be reimbursed, that ins co's no longer pay the provider directly (previously my ins co has). We went over my results which he said even tho I scored a 96% correct on word recognition, that it was at 60 dBs and normal speaking was at 45. I later looked this up, normal conversational speech is 46-70dB's, so it would appear that I am in the normal range for that one ear. After agreeing to try hearing aid, I'm just about totally deaf in my left ear and have been for years. When done - approx at 5:35 and walking out to get my copies, he gave the audiologist a thumbs up sign - like 'hey, made a sale'. I wish they would save the celebratory for after the customer is gone. Kinda felt like someone just made a car sale. I understand that it was well past the time that they close, but let your receptionist know not to make 4:30 appts. I have 60 days to try them out (after paying) to see how it goes...
