Meet Our Staff
Marci Pertee, H.I.S.
Marci Pertee is a second-generation hearing care provider and has been involved in the hearing industry since the 1990’s. She received her Hearing Aid Salesperson License in 1993 and stays up-to-date with continuing education training. She has 30 years of excellent customer service experience and thoroughly enjoys building relationships with people. While she was born in Rhode Island, Marci’s family moved to Michigan when she was very young. Despite the unpredictable weather, she loves living in Wyandotte and will always call it her home. She has three children, and in her spare time she enjoys spoiling her two dogs.

When should I use hearing protection?
You should always use hearing protection when engaging in high-noise recreational activities or work. These activities may include hunting, music concerts, motor sports, and/or construction. Noise-induced hearing loss can result from prolonged exposure to noise or a single, extremely loud event. The louder the sound, the quicker it can cause damage. If you notice ringing in your ears or temporary hearing loss after a loud noise exposure, the environment was too noisy and could be harmful. If that ringing or temporary hearing loss is persistent, it would be a good idea to contact us for a hearing evaluation.
Should I get my hearing tested?
If you suspect that you or a loved one may be experiencing hearing loss, it’s recommended that you seek help sooner rather than later. Hearing loss tends to develop gradually and is often noticeable to close friends and family well before the affected individual realizes it. Identifying and treating hearing loss promptly is crucial. Ignoring it could lead to significant long-term effects, such as increased risk of depression and dementia.

I visited Advanced Hearing today and was completely satisfied with the experience. I was immediately greeted when entering the office. The paperwork process was explained and very simple to complete. The hearing test was easy to follow, very thorough, and easy to understand. The explanation of the test results was also easy to understand and thorough. The sample hearing aids that I tried allowed me to hear again like I could when I was a young man. The entire staff was welcoming, friendly and very professional. I’m excited about purchasing these hearing aids and greatly improving my quality of life.

Excellent, expert help with hearing aids. They investigated the hearing aid warranty for us when a hearing aid was lost, without prompting. Manufacturer paid most of the replacement cost, so saved us $2000. Fantastic honesty and integrity!
