When should I use hearing protection?
You should always use hearing protection when engaging in high-noise recreational activities or work. These activities may include hunting, music concerts, motor sports, and/or construction. Noise-induced hearing loss can result from prolonged exposure to noise or a single, extremely loud event. The louder the sound, the quicker it can cause damage. If you notice ringing in your ears or temporary hearing loss after a loud noise exposure, the environment was too noisy and could be harmful. If that ringing or temporary hearing loss is persistent, it would be a good idea to contact us for a hearing evaluation.

I have to say this is one of the best businesses I've had association in doing business with concerning hearing. The staff are very friendly courteous and attentive. The doctor has very good knowledge and take some time and explaining every aspect of tests as well as the products.

Diane and her team are almost like family. A few weeks ago I fell and broke my tibia and fibula. We are currently staying at me son’s house in Northport. Diane took time out of her busy schedule and called to see how I was doing. If that isn’t family I don’t know what is. She even fed-x a box of batteries. Got them the next day

I felt very comfortable at my appointment. They were very knowledgeable and patient explaining everything to me. I recommend the Owosso branch highly to those asking about hearing aids. Very unsatisfactory experience. Services are part of Blue Cross Medicare Advantage plan and they are very misleading prior to actual appointment. It was shared via a telephone conversation that my coverage would cover all but $499 of an advanced hearing aid and all but $799 of a premium unit. At my appointment the technician shared that indeed units could be procured for that price but as with buying a car, it doesn’t include oil changes or replacement struts. Then a slip of paper was placed before me that said it would actually cost $4900 for a pair of premium hearing aids with maintenance, adjustments, cleaning, charger and the list went on. I am amazed that someone is allowed to essentially misrepresent such an essential purchase to this extreme. I most assuredly will not pursue this any further with the Owosso, Michigan office. I am very disappointed with BC/BS choice of third party vendor in this department and in all probability will investigate other options at the next sign up window.

I purchased my Starkey hearing aids in September of last year. I was well aware of my difficulty in hearing and went to the Owosso Hearing Center in response to an invitation I had received in the mail. The technician (Diane) was wonderful . . . she performed an extensive hearing test and confirmed my hearing loss . . . . more severe than I had been willing to admit. She fitted me with a Starkey Livio Rechargeable Hearing aid and downloaded the Thrive Hearing Control App. to my telephone. I could not believe the immediate change in my lifestyle as I began to be so much more in touch with life around me. The best features about my hearing aids would be the ease of control through the Thrive App on my phone and the convenience of recharging them every night (no dead batteries to replace). The ear pieces are very comfortable. I am extremely pleased with this product, and my wife is even more pleased . . . if I haven't put them in place in the morning she realizes it very quickly and gives me a reminder. I give my highest recommendation to this product . . . I have tried the $200 mail order hearing aids with very little success. These hearing aids are worth the investment. The Owosso Hearing Center has been wonderful at scheduling regular visits to assist me with any issues that may come up. Take the plunge . . . . you won't regret it. Terry A..Euper

Very professional. Friendly greeting and helpful in navigating the insurance coverage. I was unable to get my exam due to a wax issue in my ears which needs to be seen by my medical Doctor but the staff did the best they could possibly do that day. Top Notch. I will return once my wax issue is resolved. Highly recommend. .
