When should I use hearing protection?
You should always use hearing protection when engaging in high-noise recreational activities or work. These activities may include hunting, music concerts, motor sports, and/or construction. Noise-induced hearing loss can result from prolonged exposure to noise or a single, extremely loud event. The louder the sound, the quicker it can cause damage. If you notice ringing in your ears or temporary hearing loss after a loud noise exposure, the environment was too noisy and could be harmful. If that ringing or temporary hearing loss is persistent, it would be a good idea to contact us for a hearing evaluation.
Should I get my hearing tested?
If you suspect that you or a loved one may be experiencing hearing loss, it’s recommended that you seek help sooner rather than later. Absolutely awful customer service and broken promises. I had to return a hearing aid because they didn't process it at the time they said they would, so I was charged for the full amount despite being promised that it would be billed before my insurance reset. The receptionist, who was trying her best to help, gave us the number for her boss, which turned out to be his personal phone number and he ACCUSED US OF LYING ABOUT WHERE WE GOT HIS NUMBER. the entire experience was awful and I'm down a hearing aid that I genuinely need. The whole thing was ridiculous and it left a horrible taste in my mouth.

Been going to the Hearing Center in Chelsea for well over 10 years. This last visit my partner and I had an appointment with Laura, a new audiologist at this location. In one hour we learned more about hearing loss and how to deal with it as we age than we’ve ever heard before. Our relationship has been improved greatly already thanks to Laura and the information she shared with us. She’s the real deal and we highly recommend her.

I popped in unannounced from out of town with an inoperable hearing aid and audiologist Laura diagnosed the problem- a broken receiver wire - and called several places until she found a place in Ypsilanti that had one. Laura went way out of her way to help me and I am most grateful. If I lived around here I’d go to Laura as my audiology professional. Thank you Laura!!

I went in to discuss hearing aids but felt like I was dealing with a used car salesperson. I like to know how much something is before agreeing to the purchase but that question seemed to almost offend the provider. When they finally calculated the price, they gave me the attitude that I should be grateful it was so low.

Just needed a cleaning with my hearing aids. I got in on a canceled appointment just before I was to leave on 3 week trip. I walked out of there hearing far less than when I walked in. Sarah told me the aids are at the end of its life. With the power I need its not performaning. So, MY wife takes a look at them and found debris it. helped alot. So since I couldn't hear Sarah max my volume and now it's too loud and can't squeeze me in to take 5 min. To drop the volume. I got brushed aside and Sarah didn't resolve my issue because the next appointment was in. Not a good start with new company name.
