Meet Our Staff

Kathy Shaw, H.I.S.

Kathy Shaw started with what would become AudioNova in April 2002 as a Clinic Administrator. In March 2006, Kathy obtained her license to practice as a Hearing Instrument Specialist. Kathy enjoys meeting with new and existing patients to improve their hearing health. She strives to make the patients feel like family and meet every need and concern they have. She believes that excellent customer service is critical. The best part of Kathy's job includes working day-to-day with her daughter, Stacy Sammons. Outside of her daily work schedule, Kathy enjoys helping her husband on their 160-acre farm that includes a Simmental cow/calf operation. Kathy also enjoys family activities with her children and grandchildren.

Stacy Sammons, H.I.S

Stacy Sammons started with Concept by Iowa Hearing in February 2006 as a Clinic Administrator. In November 2011, Stacy obtained her license to become a Hearing Instrument Specialist. Stacy enjoys working with patients on a daily basis and helping with their hearing health needs. Stacy believes in treating her patients like family and strives to provide exceptional customer service, making each appointment a great experience. Outside of work Stacy enjoys spending time with her son, going to his different activities, and being with family. Stacy loves the outdoors, going for walks, reading, and visiting her parent’s farm.

Nothing but top notch. Cathy Shaw always very helpful, as usual. At my request, she will also inquire about the possibility of my health insurance policy covering a portion of new hearing aids. She went out of her way to help me get my original hearing aid partially paid. I always enjoy working with her.

I recently visited Concept By Iowa Hearing in Pella, Iowa, about hearing aids. I have family members who have purchased hearing aids there and were very happy with the results. Kathy Shaw was very knowledgeable and helpful with the analysis of my hearing problems. She performed multiple tests on each ear for word clarity, sound, volume and repeating specific words she spoke for clarity and understanding. Results - I walked out with new hearing aids, and now, after a couple of weeks, I am very happy with the results. I would like to recommend Kathy Shaw, Concept By Iowa Hearing for help with any hearing problems.

Great experience. Kathy was very thorough explaining everything and making sure I understood the testing, what the conclusion was as well as what devices were best for my lifestyle. I didn’t expect to leave with new devices but the ones I have work great, plus she took the time to make sure everything was set up on my phone for ready adjustments if I need to. The insurance and paperwork was seamless… the entire staff was excellent!

Kathy is wonderful. She replaced a receiver on my mother’s hearing aid at no charge. Mom is in a care center and cannot go to appointments, so I bring her hearing aids in. Mom was used to it not working, (she has dementia) and said it was almost too loud. 😊 I highly recommend Concept with Kathy and Stacey!!

I started using Resound hearing aids about 11 years ago. They have worked very well. I am now using rechargeable ones and find them very dependable. I have moved away now, but was willing to drive 240 miles to receive the service from Concept that I could receive no where else. Special thanks to Kathy Shaw and Stacy Sammons.

My appointments at Concept Hearing are always right on time. Kathy asks if is I have any needs or questions concerning my hearing/hearing aids. I can always easily hear her (with or without my hearing aids) since her voice projects well. Once when vacationing in another state I realized I’d forgotten my hearing aid charger. Kathy responded very quickly to my email helping me know of places in my vacation state, if I desired, to purchase a charger. Her customer service is excellent!!! She’s also friendly to boot!

I cannot say enough about Kathy and Stacy at the Pella location, they are friendly and courteous. Plus I have always been able to get in right away. Wasn't to long ago one of my hearing aids quit working, only to find ear piece was about to to break off. Kathy was able to figure it out right away! I recommend them to anyone who is having hearing loss issues.

I am a long-standing client of Concept of Iowa Hearing. I just 2weeks ago bought their newest technology hearing aids. They are Phonak Sphere hearing aids. They are the Best I’ve ever owned, by a long shot!!!! The staff at Concept is great. Kathy Shaw worked hard to get the best sound for me in my new hearing aids, and got me the best possible price that I could get. Did I say they are excellent?
